Sometimes, the stars just align. In mid 2015, I was in the middle of helping two different clients make moves, when I got the chance to save money for both of them.

Independence Blue Cross (IBC) was making a move

Several employees were relocating from 1500 Spring Garden Street to another facility. As part of the move, workstations would have to be “decommissioned,” broken down, and moved to a landfill at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars.

Philadelphia Works (PW) was consolidating

PW is a nonprofit that helps the unemployed develop new skills. In one of their new spaces, they would need additional workstations. Bids for pre-owned units also came in for tens of thousands of dollars.A bell went off

A bell went off

After a couple of phone calls, I connected my PW client and my IBC client, and we toured the soon-to-be-ex IBC address on Spring Garden Street. My PW client picked out enough workstations for their new facility, IBC donated them, and the mover got an unexpected project. A WIN-WIN-WIN!

2016 was a busy year

Last year, we had the pleasure of helping the following companies and organizations relocate:

  • Cozen O’Connor
  • The Free Library of Philadelphia
  • Liberty Resources
  • Philadelphia Works
  • Independence Blue Cross
  • AmeriHealth
