Over the past year, the Free Library of Philadelphia, working with FRC, has been renovating and refreshing several of its branches. The Kingsessing Branch, located in a vibrant part of West Philadelphia at 51st and KIngsessing Avenue, has been restored and remodeled. Now it’s ready to be reopened.
As a vital part of the process, FRC completed a comprehensive inventory of the branch. After equipment, books, contents and furniture were packed and moved into storage, work began. When all renovations were complete, FRC moved everything back in, unpacked, and prepared for the reopening of this cherished community resource.
FRC is proud to be part of this ongoing effort by the Free Library of Philadelphia to refresh our neighborhoods.
