While you know the Free Library for its vast collection of books, it is also home to the Edwin A. Fleisher Collection of Orchestral Music. Located in Room 168, this is the largest lending library of orchestral sheet music in existence, a unique and valuable resource to orchestras around the world.
When the time came to renovate the space for the collection, the Free Library called FRC. We inventoried, packed, and relocated more than 22,000 complete sets of sheet music, some more than a century old. Once new flooring and painting was done, and new fixtures and shelving installed, we worked closely with other project partners to return the collection to its refurbished home.
